It is a very good hotel, currently, a Husa hotel rather than Hesperia. Maybe bedroom upgrade will shortly be complete, especially the carpets. Additionally, can someone check-out the peacocks that frighten guests relaxing on the balcony? The ducks are good, but the peacocks are quite frightening.
I had just arrived from a wonderful 6 day sunny holiday at the Hotel Husa Alicante. My partner highly preferred it and honestly it is a value for money. To be exact it is very hygienic, calm and beautiful, located in an attractive environment of a picturesque golf course, rich in flora and fauna, at reasonable prices. The staff is very welcoming and the majority spoke fluent English as we don't talk much ourselves. The food served in this hotel is delicious, with very few spicy exemptions.
I requested a room in the back-side of the hotel with overlooking the golf course. If you get rooms on the street side it can sometimes be extremely noisy particularly during weekends.
We had a comfy double-room with views of the golf course with sunshine streaming onto the balcony until dusk. The rooms as well as the balcony were spacious. You can even have a party in them! It is a unique large 5 star Spanish Hotel, neat and with considerate staff; a lovely pool, calm as early during summer. Cafés are distant but you can take a taxi for ten Euros into Alicante, and get an abundant lively night life, cafés, entertainment and an actual insight of the Spanish traditions.
