Alicante Urbanova beach
It's sunny. It's raining. It's windy."
This one is my favorite! If you are looking for a good place among beaches in Spain, this is the one. It is perhaps even longer than the beach of San Juan, offering a lot of space and an impressive view towards Alicante harbor and the castle of Saint Barbara. Situated between two residential areas (the suburbs of Urbanova and Arenales del Sol), this Alicante beach does not attract large crowds, so you can really relax there peacefully. A large part of the beach between the suburbs is a nudist one, offering you a lot of free space and the true hot atmosphere of Alicante Costa Blanca.
Within the suburbs of Urbanova and Arenales del Sol, you can find a number of bars, restaurants and shops. Along this Alicante beach, there are many services for tourists, such as lifeguards and watchtowers, toilets, foot showers and parking facilities. The easiest way to arrive to Urbanova beach is by your car, passing by the train stop of San Gabriel, a nice park El Palmeral, Ibis and Etap hotels. Another option is to take a bus number 27 in front of the main Alicante train station RENFE, which usually communicates once per hour. The bus leaves Alicante center at full hour and 45 minutes. It takes about 25 minutes to come to Urbanova beach. It leaves the beach at full hour and 15 minutes (once you are in Alicante, please check for possible changes of the summer timetable).
