"żDónde se puede comer algo?
Where can I/we have a snack?"

One of the first things you will notice in Alicante Spain is that the city is full of diverse bars, pubs and restaurants. Whether in the city center or in suburbs, you can have a snack or take a coffee in almost every street. There are offers that suit all tastes and pockets.

Alicante paella Walking along the streets of Alicante, you will see many small blackboards in front of restaurants and tapas bars with hand-written menus. Always ask first for el menu del dia – a lower priced meal with 2 or 3 dishes, including a drink and a dessert of your choice. The food is always fresh and flavours are great and sometimes surprising.

Most of Alicante restaurants offer you delicious Mediterranean dishes in a typical Spanish atmosphere. You can, for example, enjoy a variety of traditional seafood, the famous Spanish jam, tasty potato tortillas or our celebrated Alicante paella (local rice dish). Do not forget the excellent Spanish wine! Alicante restaurants

We also invite you to visit other more classical restaurants. You can try British, French or German style cuisine, as well as have a dinner in one of numerous pizzerias with Italian food. The majority of exclusive and relatively expensive restaurants is situated close to the Alicante harbour or in the Old Town.

If you are in a more exotic mood, there are a lot of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Moroccan and Turkish restaurants scattered around the city. They are very popular among people in Alicante Spain. The food is very good and the prices are low. Finally, when in a hurry, check one of fast-food restaurants, such as Subway, Turkish donner kebab, various Spanish taverns (tapas bars) or one of international fast-food chains.
