Alicante is one of the most popular starting points for visitors to Spain. Located right on the coast of the Mediterranean in the Costa Blanca it makes a good location for flying into if you are visiting the Costa Almeria, the Costa Dorada, Costa Blanca or the secluded Costa Calida. With its wide sweeping boulevards and palm lined shopping streets Alicante is a beautiful city as well as a convenient place to begin your holiday or rent a hire car.
