After the midnight, you can go to several night clubs. Each one is full of people, especially during the weekends, offering diverse ambient. You can take a drink, have a good time for half an hour and then go to another one – all of them are just a walking distance away from each other.

1. El Forat

Address: Pl. Santa Faz (square), El Barrio, Alicante Spain
Situated on a beautiful historic town square behind the city hall

El Forat is the oldest gay bar in Alicante and one of the veterans of El Barrio. Its colorful eclectic decoration and good pop music accompanied by videos shown on the walls attract a large number of gay-friendly visitors.

2. Divina

Address: Montengón street 7, El Barrio, Alicante Spain
A bar with Europop music, placed on a very popular street in the Old Town (close to the Cathedral). Quite small and therefore always crowded.

3. Caníbal Pub

Address: César Elguezábal street 26, Alicante Spain
This is definitely the most popular gay bar among younger people. Most of the visitors are less than 30 years old. It is placed on the Plaza Nueva (New Square, with an interesting Aquarium with large Mediterranean fish).

The bar is in the ground-floor, while upstairs you can dance enjoying a wild night. The Caníbal Pub regularly organizes special events, such as striptease shows, carnival and Halloween parties, featured music nights, New Year celebrations etc. During the day you can also check the Canibal shop, offering a large selection of calendars, posters, videos, books and underwear products.

Once the bars in El Barrio are closed (between 03:30 and 04:00), young people continue partying in numerous Alicante discos. One of them is the usual choice of gays and lesbians, situated close to the Explanada promenade. There you can dance, drink and have fun until the sunrise.
