How do I/we get to the centre of Alicante?"
Alicante airport transfers:The bus stop No.30 is placed in front of the parking area. Just exit the terminal building, cross the road and you are there. The bus number is C-6. Be aware that this is NOT a special airport bus, but rather a normal bus of public Alicante transport. It does not go directly to the city center - there are a lot of bus stops on the way. Sometimes it also pass through a nearby town of Torrellano.The bus timetable is a bit rare. It comes every 40 to 50 minutes and you are never sure for how long you are going to wait for it. If you are “lucky”, you will have enough time to enjoy the sunshine. Once you are on board, it takes between 30 and 40 minutes to come to the center of Alicante. However, the trip is not boring. You can enjoy nice views over the Urbanova suburb and the Mediterranean sea on the right side, as well as of the El Palmeral park on the left side. Passing through the city center, the bus ends on Plaza del Mar – a bus stop near Hotel Melia at the end of Explanada promenade. If you want to use the bus C-6 to go to the Alicante airport, you can take it on the Plaza del Mar bus stop. Later on, it goes through Rambla avenue and Alfonso X El Sabio avenue passing El Mercado Central (central Market). There are bus stops also on the Plaza Luceros circus, Paseo Soto street (close to El Corte Inglés department store) and in front of the Alicante bus station. Finally, you can also take buses from Alicante to Benidorm and Alicante-Murcia. The bus stops are all grouped together and the services are offered by ALSA company. The bus to Benidorm departures at each full hour. The bus to Murcia departures each two hours at odd hour and 15 minutes (see the figure). Traveling to both of the cities takes about 1 hour.
