Hi ! I am Igor, the webmaster of this site dedicated to Alicante.

I was born in Serbia, but several years ago (November 2003) I came to live in Alicante. Before that I was studying in Germany for more than three years, trying to accommodate myself to usually rainy or snowy cold weather. However, Germany is so beautiful country (especially Saxony full of castles and picturesque villages, where I had been living) that I simply did not mind about the cold. It did not stop me and I traveled a lot, making hundreds of beautiful photos for my collection.

At the end of my studies, Berlin wished me bon voyage with a heavy rain and Alicante welcomed me with blue sky and the sun. When landing to Alicante airport, I could see a lot of summer houses around the city, each of them with a garden and a swimming-pool. The landscape looked very dry and the vegetation scarce – it reminded me to my previous holidays in hot Namibia. For sure, visiting Alicante you will feel like in Africa – my Namibian friend confirmed me that when he came here.

Today, I have been living in Alicante for several years working as a lecturer at the University of Alicante. During all that time, the city fascinated me with its diversity and numerous opportunities to have fun and enjoy great weather.

This web-page is a product of my impressions. Here you can find useful travel tips that will help you prepare your holidays. Together with my friends that help me a lot, I will continue adding new content and new wonderful photos.
